Tapping away the blues on Tuesdays!

Alison Horton

My little group of work colleagues met again on Tuesday. Some of us (including me!) were there to calm down after a stressful day; others have come to relish the tranquillity that tapping brings, even when there's not a lot to tap about - a group tapping session seems to generate a pervasive, sharing of positivity!

We'd been given bad news, about a couple of mutual friends, the previous day and so, firstly, we decided to tap away the feeling of sorrow, worry and accompanying throwback thoughts/feelings to our own individual times of grief. When we'd reduced most of the group to a SUD (Subjective Unit of Distress) of 1 or 2/10, we moved onto the stresses of the day, which were mainly manifesting themselves in the form of stiff shoulders, feelings of tension in the chest, and headaches. Most of us were scoring an SUD of more that 7/10 to start off with - happily we all left smiling and laughing, looking forward to the excellent sleep that normally follows one of our sessions! Thanks, ladies!

I'm thinking about offering a session to combat cravings next week - I'll keep you all posted!
